“Ida” is one of the “Hollywood Legends” collection of shawls all named after beautiful women who graced Silver Screen during the last century.

The collection has been created for Dye for Wool Merino/BabyCamel fingering yarn. The yarn is very special indeed, exquisitely soft and warm, light and fluffy. The choice of colours is fabulous ranging from very soft and light to bright and saturated, just take a look here.

“Ida” has a triangular shape with simple yet lovely lace border. The size is pretty generous (67”/23”), enough to cover shoulders yet delicate and fine to be wrapped around the neck as a scarf.
The bias construction makes it drape beautifully.

“Ida” is knitted in a reversible textured pattern. The lace border is worked together with the main panel and later knitted-on on the second edge.
It starts with just single stitch, frequent side increases shape the body and it ends with single stitch.
“Ida” requires only one skein (480m) and there will be very little left after completion.
This shawl is the easiest of the three, though requires some lace knitting with a touch of patterning on both sides.
Instructions are written and charted.

“Ida” is very easy to wear and works well with sporty or more polished outfit.
