In Vest is a cropped vest that features an all over texture of ‘nubby pinstripes’. It is an on-trend garment that is ideal as a layering piece, but can quite easily be worn alone as a warm weather garment.
While the RS features a nubby pinstripe design, the reverse side also gives an interesting fabric and, with some clever weaving in of the ends, In Vest can be a reversible garment.

While instructions are given for a cropped vest, In Vest can be easily lengthened and there are notes within the pattern to indicate when this should be done.

In Vest is worked from the bottom up, in the round and divided at the armholes. The front and back are then worked flat and seamed at the shoulders. The armholes and neck edge are finished by picking up stitches and working an I-cord cast-off.
There is a link to Irene Lin’s YouTube video tutorial, “I-Cord Bind Off in the Round and Grafting”, that gives clear instructions on how to work the I-cord cast-off and graft it at the end.
Thank you, Irene!
