Intrepid Slouch
A project for your special skein of hand dyed yarn, the clever design of this hat uses slip stitches that break up the colors of the yarns perfectly, and you will be surprised how fast you can finish it. Instructions are included for a brim that fits, or a longer slouch for the cold time of the seasons.
MATERIALS:
• One skein of DK or worsted weight yarn.
Sample shown used Madelinetosh
Vintage - Cove.
• US 6 and 7 16” circular needles
• Stitch marker, preferably a locking
marker so you can move it during the
project.
• Tapestry needle.
GAUGE AND MEASUREMENTS:
About 8” tall and about 23” in circumference.
About 9 sts every 2”. (Gauge not critical)
Notes: The stitch marker will move around to indicate new rounds. Also when slipping stitches, keep yarn fairly loose when stranding.
