This is a great beginner shawl. This comfy, warm shawl knits up quickly in DK weight yarn in a simple to memorize pattern with plain wrong side rows. The shape is a modified top-down Faroese triangle which stays on your shoulders nicely. It begins with a long garter tab, which blends in with the garter edging for the body of the shawl. The body of the shawl consists of two wedges, one on either side of the central spine panel. There are 2 increases per wedge on each right side row (4 per right side row). The border is knitted on perpendicular to the bottom edge of the shawl.

The sample was knit from 7 skeins of Swish DK in the Jade color.
