Isabel Cardigan is knitted from the bottom up in a textured pattern with a slightly cropped length. First the body is worked, then the sleeves are joined to the work. The yoke is then worked with raglan decreases, where the cables meet in the construction. Finally, button bands are knitted along the front edges and the buttons are sewn on.

Isabel Cardigan is designed with a positive ease of approx. 8–12 cm. Choose your size based on your chest measurement taken on your own body. Size 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8) 9 fits a chest measurement of approx. 82–85 (86–90) 91–96 (97–102) 103–112 (113–122) 123–132 (133–142) 143–152 cm. These measurements only apply if the gauge is correct. Measure yourself before you start knitting to find the size that fits you best. If, for example, you measure 96 cm around your chest or the widest part of your body, size 3 (M) is recommended. A cardigan in this size has a finished bust circumference of 105 cm and a positive ease of approx. 9 cm.

Gauge:
23 stitches x 26 rows in pattern on 5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking.
18 stitches x 26 rows in moss stitch on 5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking.
Tip: as the pattern is elastic, it is important to wash the swatch before measuring it.
