It has always been forever for me, Sassenach Shawl (Outlander Inspired)

This two-colour triangular shawl, knit from the bottom up, is inspired by Voyager (the 3rd book in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon), which is the inspiration for the 3rd season of the hit tv show Outlander coming this September.

The Design - The turquoise blue Voyager section is ocean waves to symbolise the ship voyage to the West Indies. The yellow-green Jamaican Jewels section alternates between diamonds and medallion coins to symbolise the Jacobite treasure that Jamie and Claire go to the silkies’ isle to retrieve. The sample uses yarn dyed by the fantabulous Jess of Ginger Twist Studio.

This shawl is knit flat.

The knitter needs to be comfortable with the following techniques: knit, purl, ktbl, k2tog, k3tog, k3togtbl, kfb, slipping stitches, ssk, yo, increases, and decreases. Instructions for all these techniques are included in the pattern.

This pattern includes instructions in both written and chart forms.
