We were so used to having a warm summer and autumn that the chilly weather took us by surprise (as it has done many times before). Luckily hats are quick to make and having a new hat to begin the autumn with, is a treat!
This hat has a bit of an unusual construction. It’s fun to knit and makes a great one skein project. Being sized for both children and adults, everyone can get one of their own.
The hat is knitted in the round from bottom up and the top of the hat is closed with Kitchener stitch. Detailed instructions for Kitchener stitch are included in the pattern, it’s really easy technique once you learn it (if you haven’t already)!
