Jacket for Child by Clara Leach

Jacket for Child

No details of size are provided in this pattern, and the materials are generic. Andalusian wool is not a brand but a type of wool, and the hook size suggested is ‘not too fine’.
Worked in 4 ply the jacket will fit a small baby.
The main part is worked vertically from edge to edge in ribbed crochet, with shaping in short rows. The sleeves are worked similarly and set in. All around a crochet edging using picots and ‘raised tufts’ is worked, partly in a different colour. At the neck edge, this forms a turn over collar, and on the sleeves, turn-up cuffs.
The jacket is tied at the neck.
