With a jaunty curved lace brim this hat is more of a cloche style than a toque, and has an elegant stylized lotus motif of simple cables and lace that will turn heads wherever you wear it.
The lacy crown decrease frames the lotus blossoms for a lovely finish.

This hat takes only about 120 yards of a light worsted weight yarn and is quick and easy to make. The lace motif is a great way for a beginner to learn simple lace techniques.

The pattern contains a chart and completely written out directions, and is a suitable pattern to begin learning chart reading and the initial basics of lace knitting.
