Introducing the Jailbreak Top, a comfortable tank top in seven sizes - available as written pattern in English & Swedish - with solid coverage where you need it, combined with a bit of a surprise openwork back. The long bars in the back panel remind me of cartoon style prison gates, hence the name.

This pattern has been tested and uses standard American crochet terminology. There are photos and links to video tutorials to help with the more unusual stitches.

I used two strands of fingering weight mercerised cotton yarn, which creates the same thickness as a worsted yarn, but requires twice the yardage. (Yardage given is for worsted weight. Double this number if working with two strands of fingering instead.) I personally prefer the texture of two fingering strands worked together - it gives a bit more drape to the fabric.
