Jemimah Lace Shawl
The Jemima Lace Shawl is medium size beginner-friendly bias rectangular Tunisian crochet lace shawl with alternating stripes in two colours. To make the bias crochet shawl, you will need two 100 g skeins of fingering weight yarn.
Natural animal fibers such as wool are best suited for this project as blocking is essential for this project to open up the lace and hold shape.
The shawl size is easily customisable by adding extra repeats of basic colour sequence.
Skills required
Chain, Tunisian crochet technique (alternating forward and return passes), Tunisian knit stitch (tks), Tunisian simple stitch (tss), Tunisian full stitch (tfs, used as an increase stitch), shaping using increase stitches, weaving in ends, blocking.

Similar fingering weight yarns may be substituted; please check gauge.
The number of loops on hook equals the number of sts for row counting after Forward Pass (unless stated otherwise).
The shawl is worked flat with RS always facing from bottom left corner to top right corner.
The basic row repeat pattern is 6 rows in solid stitch followed by 3 rows in lace stitch pattern, followed by 6 rows in solid stitch pattern.
The basic colour pattern is basic row repeat in colour A, followed by basic row repeat alternating colour A and B, followed by basic row repeat in colour B.
Blocking the shawl is essential for this project as it opens up lace stitches and highlights the stitch pattern.
