Juicy Sweater junior
Juicy Sweater is a model with a European shoulder construction, slits and sleeves with increases. The back piece is slightly longer than the front piece. The sweater is worked in Stockinette stitch in one strand of Big Curly, while the trims are worked in 3 strands of merino held together with 3 strands of mohair framing the sweater with a nice hold and contrast.
Starting on the neck, the back piece is worked back and forth while at the same time working increases in each side shaping the slanting shoulder seam. When the back piece reaches the correct width, continue straight down, while at the same time marking the armhole. Next stitches are knit up along each shoulder seam, and the front pieces are worked back and forth while at the same time working increases towards the neckline. In the bottom of the neckline new stitches are cast on, and the front piece is joined. Continue straight down until the bottom of the armhole. Now the rest of the front piece is worked with increases in each side.
Both front and back pieces are finished with a double knit trim along the edges of the slits and at the bottom of the body. The top of each slit is joined in the bottom of the armhole and stitches are knit up along the armhole. The sleeves are worked in the round while at the same time working increases. The sleeve is finished with a double layered Stockinette trim.
The neck trim is worked in a half twisted rib, which is folded and fixed to the wrong side of the work making it a double layered.
