Jumper Cable
June 16, 2013: Italian version is now available, thanks to ajroldi.
From the designer: “Since babies grow so quickly, versatility helps get the most mileage from their clothes: this boat necked jumper doubles as a sundress. It fits comfortably over a tee-shirt or onesie, and is cool and comfortable on warm days when worn as a dress. The ribbed panel on the a-line skirt merges into the bodice as cables. The back of the bodice is worked in reverse stockinette stitch and fastens with a single button. Finishing is at a minimum: the tab for the buttonhole is picked up and knitted at the back neck, and there are only the side skirt seams to sew.”
You’ll also need cable and tapestry needles, stitch holders and markers, and a 1/2-inch button. sizes are for 6-month, 12-month, and 18-month babies. finished measurements are as follows:
Chest: 15(16, 18)“
Length from shoulder to hem: 12.5(15.5, 18)”
Bottom width: 30(32, 34)“
Bodice length: 5(6,7)”
