Kilim
Knit your own kilim without having to travel to Istanbul and haggle at the Grand Bazaar! This pattern takes inspiration from the jagged-edged diamond motifs in Turkish kilims. The intarsia diagonals are emphasized and enhanced by simple increases and decreases.
The pattern is very versatile and can be used to make shawls, blankets, afghans or throws and also for smaller projects like scarves or cushion covers. Many old kilims are recycled as cushion covers, or hung on the wall as interior decoration.
