To determine size, measure the child at chest, around the outside of both arms, then add 5-10”/ 12.5-25.5 cm to allow for ease of movement. Smaller children will likely need less ease.

Needle sizes:

Tools: Spare circular needle/cable at least 32”/80cm or scrap yarn, stitch markers, tapestry needle

Gauge:
20 sts x 35 rows = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) in stranded colorwork in the round, after washing and blocking

You may need to change needle sizes after completing the colorwork if your gauge changes significantly when knitting stockinette and/or knitting flat. Swatching for gauge is recommended!
