If you’re anything like me then you’re a diehard knitter. I take my knitting with me everywhere and I find nothing more entertaining than building something new out of a piece of string. Knitters are awesome!

I made this fun wall hanging for myself to hang over my desk. It’s a silly little project that can be knit in an evening or two.

Yarn: Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted, 95 yards,
Color A: 1 skein (70 Aquamarine)
Color B: 1 skein (25 Orange Peel)

Needles: US 8 (5 mm) knitting needles

Supplies: Darning needle to weave in ends

Notes: The banner uses about 90 yards of the main color and about 30 yards for the text. I used a modified Fair Isle / intarsia method for the letters by carrying the yarn across when I worked the rows and then twisted it up the outside letters’ edge to carry it to move it up to the next row. I did break the contrasting yarn for the space in between the two words.
