Knittted Alphabet Letters
The ability to personalise your knitting opens a wealth of opportunities to take your gifts to a higher level.
These letters are a little fancier than the usual block lettering and can be knit into the piece by stranding, or stitched on with Duplicate Stitch later. The latter method is especially useful - for example, you can knit up the piece before you know the name of an expected baby, then add the name later.
For a more subtle effect, using a single colour, you can work the letters in Garter or Reverse Stockinette Stitch, on a background of Stockinette.
Be sure to calculate carefully how many stitches and rows you are going to need for your finished word/s, then centre them on your piece - including any spaces between the letters!
Please note that this alphabet is included with my Personalised Christmas Stocking pattern, and does not need to be purchased separately!
