Knot Front Tee features a twisted detail at the hem, scooped neckline, and 3 sleeve lengths to choose from that’ll let you create your perfect layering top. This piece takes a few skeins of fingering weight yarn and is knit seamlessly from the bottom up, so you’ll be able to wear this right off the needles. The twist cinches up the center, making it perfect for wearing with high waisted pants or layered over dresses!

Knot Front Tee is built to be interchangeable with Knot Front Crop - the bust stitch counts match so there’s no need for any fiddly adjustments! This means you can knit the lower body from one, and go straight into working the upper body from the other version when you divide for the front and back, for a total of 8 pattern options! Save 25% when you buy both - no coupon code needed. Click here to add both patterns to your cart!

This pattern requires knowledge of increasing, decreasing, working in the round, picking up stitches, and short rows. An illustrated tutorial and video link are included in the pattern to show you how to execute the front twist.

Suggested Yarn: Arrowhead Fibers Basic Sock, or other fingering weight yarn that knits to gauge

Sizes: 28 (32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64)” / 72 (82.5, 92, 103, 112.5, 123, 132.5, 143.5, 153, 164) cm

Sample is shown in size 36 with 2” of negative ease at the full bust. To achieve a similar look, choose a size that is 1-5” smaller than your actual full bust measurement. Stockinette fabric in a wool blend is quite stretchy, and the hem construction with the twist allows for movement at the hips without feeling clingy - so don’t get worried about negative ease! If you’re still not sure of what size to make, find a fitted tee shirt that you feel good wearing, and measure the bust (multiply by 2 to get the circumference). Choose a size that’s similar to, but not smaller than, this measurement!
