With a slight twist on the classic chevron motif, the Koala Mittens will keep your paws warm as you adventure through the world. Knit in the round from the bottom up, the simple colourwork pattern will keep you moving from round to round.

Sizes: refer to schematic in photos

Yarn: Ginger’s Hand Dyed Sheepish DK (100% British Bluefaced Leicester, 225m/ 246yds per 100g/ 3.5oz skein)
C1: Dove 1 (1, 1) skein
C2: Orange Blossom 1 (1, 1) skein
C3: Shortcake 1 (1, 1) mini skein (10g)

or DK yarn of minimum quantities:
C1: 50 (60, 70) g; 113 (135, 158) m / 123 (148, 173) yds
C2: 35 (40, 50) g; 80 (90, 113) m / 87 (99, 123) yds

Needles: 3.5 mm /US 4 preferred needles for working small circumferences*

  • Be sure to check your gauge! With the correct needles and yarn, knit a large swatch sample in the round and wash, block, and let dry before you measure it! If you don’t wash it first, your garment might not fit you after you wash it for the first time. If your gauge doesn’t match that above, change needle sizes to obtain correct gauge (larger sizes will reduce the number of sts & rows in a measurement, smaller sizes will increase the number of sts & rows in a measurement). Remake your swatch if you change needle sizes and check again!
