There is no calculation necessary if you use another yarn weight. Using a Lace weight yarn results in a light shawlette while using a sock weight yarn or any other weight yarn also works fine. The size of the shawl is also easily adjustable by knitting the individual parts bigger.
All specifications are given in grams (if you use the original yarn or a yarn with similar yardage) respectively in percent so that you can adjust the pattern to the available amount of yarn.

The shawl consists of five parts knitted one after the other. Thus also leftovers can be used either blocking the leftovers into stripes or knitting the individual parts in one color each.

Das schöne an diesem Tuch ist, daß man nicht umrechnen muß, wenn man ein anderes Material benutzt, man kann also gern auch ein Lacegarn nehmen und damit ein leichtes Tüchlein zaubern oder man verwendet Sockenwolle - oder oder oder. Ebenso kann man die Größe recht leicht variieren, indem man die einzelnen Teile größer strickt. Die Angaben sind jeweils in Gramm (sollte man sich an das Originalgarn oder eins mit ähnlicher Lauflänge halten) bzw. in Prozent des gesamt zur Verfügung stehenden angegeben, somit könnt ihr das ganze auch auf einen begrenzten Wollvorrat benutzen.

Das Tuch besteht aus 5 Teilen, welche jeweils nacheinander gestrickt werden. Es eignet sich auch hervorragend zum verarbeiten von Wollresten, egal, ob man dabei durch die Wollreste Streifen bildet oder die einzelnen Teile jeweils einfarbig strickt.
