This cowl was inspired by my Granny’s trees which she planted near the burn. In Shetland there are not many trees but you will see the pattern of the tree in so many items made with Shetland lace.

I combined both lace and a Fair Isle rib in this pattern but the cowl can be made in just one colour if you wish.

It is knitted on a stocking stitch base.
