Lane Top is worked top-down in rib pattern and can be worn with either the front or back piece facing forward. First, the front straps are worked back and forth, joined to form the front piece, and continued in the same technique. Then stitches are picked up for the back straps, which are worked in the same way. When the front and back pieces are finished, they are joined on a circular needle and the body is worked in the round, ending with a rib edge. Finally, stitches are picked up at the armholes and neckline, where a rib edge is worked. All rib edges are bound off using an Italian bind-off for a neat and elastic finish.

Size guide:
The Lane Top is designed to fit very close to the body and has a negative ease of approx. 6–10 cm. This means the top is smaller than your actual bust measurement, so it stretches slightly when you put it on and sits close and shaping to the body. If your bust measurement is 91–95 cm, we recommend knitting size 3.

150 (150) 200 (200) 250 (250) g Bøllefrø from Tante Grøn (100% fine merino wool / 50 g = 175 m) or 100 (100) 125 (150) 175 (175) g Cashmere from Tante Grøn (100% Cashmere / 25 g = 110 m) or Cashmere Classic from Cardiff (100% Cashmere / 25 g = 112 m).

Recommended needles:
60 cm circular needle size 3 and 60 cm circular needle size 2.5.

Gauge:
26 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm in rib pattern (k5, p2) with one strand on 3 mm needles, after washing and blocking.
