Lehe Showl
Lehe Showl (shawl and cowl = showl) is an exquisitely elegant design, full of texture. Just slip it over your head and you are ready to go.
Lehe („Lehe“ means leaf in Estonian) Showl is easy to make and easy to wear and the results are stunningly eye-catching with an extra warm design. It’s designed to resemble a triangular shawl wrapped around your neck … but to look closer, it’s not. Set off your favorite colorful or variegated yarn on one side with contrasting background color on the other side. The result is like two different showls because the fabric is completely reversible. Just slip it over your head and you are ready to go. Dress to impress!
CONSTRUCTION
Lehe Showl is an enjoyable accessory that combines the shape of a triangular shawl with a casual cowl, which is worked in one piece. Showl combines two types of construction: a top-down triangular shawl, knit flat, and a bias rectangle knit in the round. The showl is so quick and satisfying to make.
The easy brioche leafy pattern adds interest and makes knitting this a fun experience. Throughout the pattern you repeat just one motif and the only tricky thing is to follow where to work the increases or decreases to grow or reduce your showl. The stitch pattern is intuitive, simple to memorize and relaxing to knit.
