This scarf is made using a brioche stitch combined with a Aran cable. . Brioche stitches tend to have a fullness and dimensionality not found in other knitting stitches. If you’re a good knitter, but are unfamiliar with the brioche family of stitches, you might enjoy this pattern. (There are other brioche scarf patterns listed in my shop, if you are a fan of brioche knitting stitches. All of them can be found in the “Brioche Section.”. Al,though I think this is one of the easier brioche patterns, I also have 2 learning brioche patterns in that section should you wish to learn brioche..

This pattern is charted ONLY. There are also instructions for a simple crocheted edging, as well as a brioche self edge. You can decide how you’d like it edged. The simple crocheted edging is the ONLY crochet in the entire pattern. All else is knitted

Skill Level: Intermediate + (assuming a working knowledge of knitting, slipped stitches, and cabling, as well as beginner - intermediate knowledge of brioche knitting).
