The Let the Good Times Roll legwarmers are the fun partners to the retro Let the Good Times Roll sweater. The legwarmers conjure up nostalgic feelings for the 1980’s fashion when legwarmers became a fad. Previously worn by dancers during exercises, dance fashion and roller discos transformed legwarmers into must-have accessories. People wore neon aerobic legwarmers scrunched around their ankles or pulled up all the way to their thighs. As well as being worn bunched around the ankles over leggings or skinny jeans for fashion, these legwarmers can also be worn pulled up to the knee to warm ankles and calves in colder weather.

The neon striped legwarmers can be knit from the leftover yarn from the sweater. Each is knit in the round.

The Let the Good Times Roll legwarmers have been created as a part of the La Bien Aimée yarn support for independent designers.

SIZES: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
FINISHED CIRCUMFERENCE
: To fit approx. 25.5 (31, 34.5, 38, 43.5) cm / 10 (12.25, 13.5, 15, 17) in at calf.

FINISHED LENGTH: 37.5 cm / 14.75 in.

To find the best size to knit, measure your calf at the widest part (just below the knees, standing up). The legwarmers should be loose enough to bunch so choose a size that gives enough ease, bearing in mind that knitted items have a bit of stretch.

The sample is size 2, worn by model with a calf of 32 cm / 12.5 in at the widest part.
