These tiny little mitts are especially for Lily, my new niece-to-be. They are worked from the bottom cuff up, and feature a simple stripe pattern and easy decrease shaping. Without thumbs, your tiny baby bee’s whole hand will be encased in soft and snuggly warmth!

A note about sizes: This pattern is written for one size, Infant 0-12 mos. using the yarn weight and needle sizes specified, the final mitt measures approx 2.25” around at the cuff and approx 4.5” tall from cuff to top. To make a smaller mitt (to fit a preemie) - switch to fingering/sock weight yarn and US 2.5 and 3 dpns.

A note about materials used: This pattern is written for Plymouth Encore DK, a wool and acrylic blend, but you can substitute any DK weight yarn. Since only a small amount is used, you will have enough for several pairs of mitts or use the leftover yarn to make a coordinating baby hat. This project is also a great stash-buster!
