This is a pattern for a small alpaca about 7.5 inches high when knitted in worsted weight yarn. I knit mine in Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted. Gauge and yarn weight don’t really matter as long as you get a dense fabric so that the stuffing doesn’t show through. Thicker yarn will give you a larger alpaca and thinner yarn will yield a smaller alpaca. You can use just the worsted weight yarn without the fuzzy fingering yarn for the alpaca if you want instead of holding both together. The dress uses both the fingering weight yarn and the worsted weight yarn in a striped pattern. The pattern also includes directions for the dress.
