PolyFill Stuffing – to stuff body as you progress - 1 bag (12
oz./340 g)
Eyes (2) - Post Animal (slanted) Safety Eyes - Size 10mm to
14mm for 4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle – for sewing
Stitch Markers

Stitches and Terms:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Space (sp)
Increase (Inc) 2 stitches same stitch space
Decrease (Dec) complete 2 stitch spaces as one – start
stitch in 2 stitch spaces, complete as 1 stitch reducing
stitch count by 1 stitch space
Short Row – complete number of stitches, slip stitch
next (place marker), turn. Work short row, sl st next
(place marker) - Will work st into same st sp as markers
on last full row to complete first full row. (if needed sc to
get to correct starting point)
Cluster - complete the number and type of stitch stated in
1 stitch space, drop loop, place hook in top of first stitch
of cluster, pick up loop and pull through
Sc # = how many stitch spaces to sc in
#Sc = how many sc in next stitch space
