Little Harbor is inspired by the fishing nets at one of our favorite little fish markets/eateries on the North Shore. We love to grab a couple lobster rolls and sometimes take the dogs down and let them jump around at the water’s edge. One day while we were day I noticed the lobster traps and started envisioning what a top based on that could look like. I love the airy feel of the lace mixed with the smooth cables, and it’s just the perfect top for a cool day by the water.

Little Harbor is knit in Little Fox Yarns Willow base, and I love the mixture of the wool and hemp - there is a subtle shine to the yarn and lots of little bits that remind me of the frayed ropes of the traps. This is a special collaboration with Little Fox Yarns.

This tee is a drop-shoulder top, with a simple lace and cable pattern repeated throughout the pattern. It is designed to be generously oversized and to wear over dresses and with skirts and just about anything you’d like to pair with it.

The all over cable and lace pattern is both charted and written.

Construction: This tee is knit flat from the top down starting with the back. Those stitches are placed on hold, then the front will be worked in the same manner as the back. Once these two pieces are the same length, the sleeves are bound off with a three needle bind off and the body is joined together and knit in the round to the hem. The top of the shoulders are then seamed together. The neckband is picked up and worked at the very end.
