A set of cables and swirls of ice cream to top it off - that’s the Llamalicious mittens in a nutshell. Knitted in organic llama yarn they are soft, warm and cosy in every way. The pattern is symmetrical and each mitten a mirror of the other. The instructions are written for left and right hand, but it’s up to you which way you prefer the swirls to go - inwards or outwards (there are photos of both options!).

When you make these mittens you first work the cables at the bottom and then pick up stitches around the top of the cuff and work the rest of the mittens from there. The cables at the bottom is a satisfying knit with a quick reward, and the swirls at the top are looking more complicated than they are to make.

The mittens are worked in double fingering but you could also use Sport/DK. There are instructions for how you can modify the pattern to make gauge work.

This pattern is part of the Llamalicious collection, if you have bought one pattern you will get the others for half price. You can find patterns for shawl, hat and mittens.
