Lobster Trap Mittens are a single-color mitten with smocked ribbing embellished with simple embroidery that mimics the slats and wires of a Maine Lobster Trap. Worked in a slightly dense gauge in a rustic DK weight wool, these mittens are stretchy and cozy to wear.

The pattern is presented in both written and chart form. Be sure to use the correct instructions for the left/right mittens. Special instructions are given for the creating the “wrap 3 stitch” and for embroidering the “wires”.
