When there is a chill in the air, nothing beats wrapping up in something soft, squishy, and cozy. Worked in garter stitch, with a pretty slip-stitch border and a fun sawtooth edge, this blanket will be a family favorite.

The Lovey Blanket was designed to have no cast-on or bound-off edges that would restrict the stretchiness of the Garter Stitch. The blanket begins with a provisional cast on, which grows into a rectangle. Stitches are picked up around the rectangle and the knitting continues in the round to the edging. The edging is worked perpendicular to the edge of the blanket, binding off the stitches as it is attached.
