The Luline cardigan was inspired by the feeling of a crisp, cool evening under glistening moonlight. It will add some sparkle and warmth whenever you need it, and can be worn cozy around the house or dressed up for an evening out. Born of a strong mind’s-eye vision of mine, the cableknit pattern was an exceptional challenge to get all the details just as I imagined in my head. After much trial and error in the initial swatching stage, I could not be happier with the result. I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern as much as I enjoyed creating it.
This drop shoulder style cardigan construction is worked from the bottom up - flat for the body and in the round for the sleeves. Suited for any knitter that is comfortable with small cables, making increases and decreases - this pattern quickly becomes rhythmic and engaging to knit. It has very simple shaping so as to minimally disturb the intricate cable knit motif. This pattern includes a charted version of the main cable pattern as well as instructions written out row-by-row (for working flat) and round-by-round (for working in the round). This design requires some time and persistence due to the fine textures and cables throughout.
