The Madeleine Shawl is the first featured design by lace knitter Aisling Doonan aka Rubysasha. It is knitted using 1 skein of hand dyed 4ply/sock yarn and it is a perfect cover up for those long Summer evenings, draped over your shoulders. The lace design opens up beautifully when blocked.
MATERIALS
Yarn: Yurwool 80% SW Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon. 400m/437yds, 100g
Shown in Jellybean and Seafoam colourways.
Needles: 3 mm circulars, or straights if you prefer
Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers
TENSION/GAUGE
Not critical, but shawls pictured were 34 rows and 24 stitches using the yarn and needle combination above, in pattern.
Final Dimensions are: 48″ x 24″ approx.
