Sometimes you are listening to a new playlist, and a song comes on. A song that you haven’t heard before, and yet, speaks to exactly what you need in that moment.

One of those songs for me was Garden by Mae Krell. It is such a delicate, thoughtful, and beautiful piece. I do hope you will give it a listen.

Generous yarn support was provided by Sarah from Craft Me Knot Yarn Co for this project. Blending Sarah’s colors, Mae’s music, and my own floral inspiration has been such a joy, It’s been so special to be able to grow my own garden in the form of colorwork. I can’t wait to see what yours will become. Sarah’s colors have such a sweet depth.

The Mae Drop is knit from the bottom up. Almost immediately after casting on you begin the colorwork chart which features an engaging 16 stitch repeat. Once you’ve worked through the colorwork, it’s smooth sailing in the round through the remainder of the body. You then separate the front and back of your tee, and shape the v-neck. Next, you will use a three needle bind-off to connect the front and back shoulders. Finally, you will pick up and knit short sleeves in the round.

As always if you have any questions during the knitting process please send me an email at hello.bloom.create@gmail.com. I would love to see your versions on Instagram, please use #MaeDrop, and #BloomCreateDesigns.
