Maire
Maire plays with strong contrasts. It has generous ease, extra long sleeves, a straight body and an unusual shoulder construction. The dress starts with the upper back worked as a raglan sweater back but then the stitches are picked up for the shoulders and joined for the upper front.

5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) skeins of Shelter by Brooklyn Tweed (100% wool, 140 yds / 128 m – 50 g), colourway Cast Iron as contrasting colour (CC). Or approx. 550 (620, 700, 760, 820, 900, 985, 1060, 1140) yds / 500 (570, 650, 690, 750, 820, 900, 970, 1040) m of worsted weight yarn.
Needles: US 6 / 4 mm 32” / 80 cm circular needles and US 8 / 5 mm 32” / 80 cm circular needles and DPNs for sleeves in each size if not using magic loop method for short circumference knitting, or size needed to obtain the gauge.
Notions: Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, tapestry needle.
GAUGE
18 sts x 26 rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 8 / 5 mm needles in Stockinette stitch, after blocking.
