The Maple Leaf Accessories patterns were originally published in Knits from the North Country: Classic Knits by Canadian Knitters (this book is now out of print). The original collection is being updated to make them available to knitters once again.

The scarf pattern begins with basketweave stitch, then transitions to K4, P4 ribbing, and returns to basketweave.
The cowl is a shorter version, designed to keep the garment in place while providing warmth and style.

Instructions are for both scarf and cowl, except where indicated in pattern.

Scarf has optional Maple leaf patches, which are knit separately and sewn to back side of motif, making it reversible.
