Marble Mitts
I have always been interested in breed-specific wools because they have characteristics that often can’t be achieved with other yarns. Targhee wool is naturally very elastic, and this yarn from Anzula is no exception.
My inspiration was marble columns. I thought the vertical columns with a wide, rounded base and a dentil-molding motif would work well in a knit pattern.
I love a snug mitt that fits like a second skin, so a Targhee yarn was perfect. I also wanted a “clean” look. While the mitts are very easy to knit, there are a few nice details that make them feel special. Also, both mitts are the same, so no worries about “which hand.”
These mitts are extremely elastic and stretch to fit most sizes. Be sure to choose a yarn that creates an elastic fabric.
