El Chal Marinero se inspira en el estilo “sailor” (o marinero) que Chanel popularizó a principios del siglo XX. Este chal consta de dos secciones que se repiten a lo largo de su extensión. La primera sección presenta las típicas rayas marineras, creadas con un motivo de puntos deslizados. La segunda sección, en cambio, incluye un calado de rombos que evoca las velas de los barcos. El chal culmina con un borde que amplía el calado de la segunda sección. Además, todo el chal está rodeado por un borde de I-Cord, proporcionando un acabado limpio y sofisticado.

HILADO
Summerlite 4ply de Rowan (100% algodón egipcio) (175 m/50 g) o cualquier otro hilado de grosor fingering de composición similar.

• C1: 450 m.
• C2: 135 m.

En la muestra se han usado los colores 437 (C1) y 447 (C2) para la versión azul y los colores 437 (C1) y 441 (C2) para la versión roja.

• Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm (o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión) y cable de, al menos, 80 cm.
• Agujas circulares de 3,75 mm (o del tamaño superior a las anteriores).
• Marcadores.
• 2 agujas auxiliares de trenzas (opcional).
• Tijeras.
• Aguja lanera.

MUESTRA DE TENSIÓN
24 p y 48 vtas en un cuadrado de 10 x 10 cm con el motivo de puntos deslizados (sección 1) en plano ANTES de bloquear.

La muestra de tensión no es crucial, pero puede afectar a las medidas finales y a la cantidad de hilado necesaria.

The Marinero Shal (sailor in Spanish) is inspired by the sailor (or mariner) style that Chanel popularised at the beginning of the 20th century. This shawl consists of two sections that repeat throughout. The first section presents the typical mariner stripes, created with a slipped stitch motif. The second section, in contrast, includes a lace section with rhombuses that evoke the sails of the ships. The shawl culminates with an edge that widens the lace of the second section. In addition, the whole shawl is surrounded by an i-cord edge, giving a clean and sophisticated finish.

YARN
Summerlite 4ply by Rowan (100% Egyptian cotton) (175 m/50 g) or any other fingering weight yarn of a similar composition.

• C1: 450 m.
• C2: 135 m.

The sample shown used the colours 437 (C1) and 447 (C2) for blue version and 437 (C1) and 441 (C2) for red version.

GAUGE
24sts x 48 rows gives a square of 10 x 10 cm in the slipped stitch motif (section 1) worked flat BEFORE blocking.

Gauge is not essential for this project, but it can affect the final measurements and the amount of yarn needed.

Lo Scialle Marinero (marinaro in spagnolo) si ispira allo stile sailor (o marinaro) che Chanel rese popolare all’inizio del 20° secolo. Questo scialle è costituito di due sezioni che si ripetono per tutta la lavorazione. La prima presenta le classiche righe mariner create con un punto a maglie passate. La seconda sezione, a contrasto, include una parte traforata a rombi che evoca le vele delle navi. Lo scialle culmina con un bordo che amplia il motivo traforato della seconda sezione ed è rifinito con un bordo i-cord,
per un tocco semplice ma sofisticato.

• 2 ferretti da trecce (opzionali).
• Forbici.
• Ago da lana.

TENSIONE
24m x 48 ferri = 10 x 10 cm nel motivo a maglie passate (sezione 1) lavorato in piano PRIMA del bloccaggio.

Per questo modello la tensione non è fondamentale, ma determinerà le misure finali e la quantità di filato necessaria.
