- How’s that? A yarn crawl? Yep - even if you can’t travel, or shops aren’t able to open yet, we’re on: the Slow Crawl is virtual this year, too! That actually means you can join in from anywhere!
- Get a passport from this shop or other participating shops (they’re $10)
- Starting May 22nd, visit all the shops - online, or safely in person once that’s an option

A stranded colorwork cowl inspired by the rich textiles and ornate architecture of the Islamic world.
Marrakesh Cowl is a nod to the masterful architecture and rich textile history of the Islamic world. This pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up, changing needle sizes to achieve trapezoidal shaping for a nice fit without increases or decreases.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Size: One size, Circumference: 24”; Height: 12.5”
Yarn: Brooklyn Tweed Arbor (100% American Targhee; 145 yds; 50g);
1 skein each color; or approx. 235 yds of DK weight yarn: 105 yds of MC, 75 yds of CC1 and 55 yds of CC2. Sample knit in colors Seaglass (MC), Spruce (CC1) and Burnished (CC2).
Needle: Size A: US 5 3.75 mm 24” circular needle
Size B: US 7 4.6 mm 24” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge: 24 sts x 26 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, blocked, on larger needle. Note: Getting exact gauge is not critical, but yardage requirements and finished measurements will vary if your gauge differs.
