Cables that aren’t really cables, and rib that isn’t really rib make this a quick knitting pullover. The faux three-stitch cables are created by slipping a stitch on one round or row, then crossing that stitch on the next round or row; this is also a good pattern to practice cabling without a cable needle. Garter stitch is worked between each of the faux cables and creates a ribbed look. Short pieces of leather cord have been added as ties for the front neck but may be omitted if desired, or replaced with ribbon or cords chained with the same yarn used for the sweater.
