Mary
Description
April 27, 2019, is Local Yarn Store Day here in the US! I designed Mary to honor all local yarn stores, and I hope you will download the pattern and head to your LYS to find some wonderful yarn to crochet it. The pattern will be available and FREE from 9:00am EST, April 26, 2019, through 9:00pm EST, April 28, 2019. After that, the pattern will be available for $4.00.
Mary is a moderately asymmetric wrap worked in three sections of lace pattern. It grows more lacy and open with each section worked. Mary begins at a point on the side with just 4 chain stitches and gradually increases in length and width. The last several rows of the pattern form a lacy edging along one side.
There are 2 versions of Mary, one for lace weight yarn and the other for fingering weight yarn. The patterns are almost identical. There is one section with fewer repeats in the fingering weight version. Feel free to switch the patterns to your liking. Work the lace weight version in fingering weight yarn or vice versa. Just make sure you have enough yarn:) Mary is easily customizable. Work more rows in the final section if you would like a larger piece.
