Meadow
I designed this pattern originally for Crochet Society subscription box, it was called Meadow Sweet Shawl. It was made in Bella Coco’s lovely yarn, which unfortunately isn’t commercially available.
The pattern rights have now came back to me and I have remade this shawl in the lovely Rowan Alpaca Classic.
This charming triangular shawl is worked top down, starting with chainless foundation. The pattern is easily memorable and the beautiful lace keeps you entertained.
Edging is worked around two sides and the shawl is finished off with playful tassels.
Pattern is written using UK terminology with US conversions given in brackets in abbreviations list.
Materials
5 x Rowan Alpaca Classic sh.00125 Berry Sorbet - 57% Alpaca, 43% Cotton - 120 m (131 yrd) to 25 g.
I have used the above yarn for this shawl but any slightly fluffy DK will be fine to use. You will need approximately 580 m (634 yrd), I had half a ball left after completing the shawl including tassels.
6.00 mm (US 10/J) crochet hook or size needed to obtain tension
Finished size
After blocking the completed shawl measures 194 cm (76 in) at the top edge and 58 cm (23 in) deep.
