Meander is a special collaboration with Echeveau Solidaire and releases especially for Knit Eat Lyon 2024. The cowl is designed in Echeveau’s wonderful Météorite base, a 100% Corriedale with a lovely structure and glow. In the neon pink version it is combined with a very lush and fluffy Bouclette from Echeveau.

Meander offers a very versatile design, as you can use either two, three or four colours together. You can even change the colours every section. I invite you to play and be creative!

It also makes a perfect project for knitters that are new to colourwork knitting.

The moebius cowl comes in two sizes. The first size is suitable for children or adults who like less volume around the neck. The second one is a larger adult size cowl. The cowl has a twist, making it playful and stable to wear.

For Meander I was inspired by a beautiful quilt my friend Judit Gummlich made. I translated quilt patterning - also called meandering - into colourwork knitting.

Meander is available in English, French (translation by Julie Ruard) and German (translation by Yvonne Woodhouse).

Please note that for my size 1 sample I used a full skein of Or-Norme, which was a bit more generous with 52.5 g, so you might want to get an extra skein to be safe. Or make one less pattern repeat, which will make your cowl more snug.

You can also choose to replace the Bouclette by Metéorite in Rare Bones.

US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needles for small circumferences in the round or a set of DPNs, or needle size to obtain gauge.

26 sts x 28 rnds to 4″/ 10 cm on US 5 / 3.75 mm needles in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
