Introduction: This is a very simple, top down cardigan with no seams to sew. You start with the yoke, divide for the arms and crochet the body. You will then rejoin the yarn to crochet the sleeves. The length of the body and the sleeves are adjustable so you can customise the fit.
Cardigans are always a practical choice. Easy to pull on and off, they make a great layering piece for autumn and winter. Shown here in two colours, you can crochet it in a single colour if you prefer.

Skill Level: Intermediate (this pattern uses htr, dc, and simple increasing).
Size: Age 6 – 12 months (1-2 years, 2-3 years, 3-4 years)
Chest circumference: 54 (60, 66, 72) cm
Length (from underarm) 18 (19, 20, 21) cm
Arm length with cuff unfolded (from under arm): 18 (20, 22, 23) cm
Choose the size nearest to, but larger than the child’s actual chest circumference.

Tension: 13 stitches and 20 rows to measure 10cm worked in htr with 3.5mm hook

Yarn: King Cole Merino Blend DK 50g / 115y / 104m (100% pure merino wool) in the following shades: Turquoise 2 (3, 3, 4) balls. Gold 1 (2, 2, 3) balls
