From ‘Sweaters From The Seaton Collection’: “ ‘Millefiori means a thousand flowers’. The backgrounds of many Italian and French medieval tapestries are adorned with millefiori designs in which many different types of flowers are depicted vividly, delicately and in great abundance.”
