The Mint Twist socks have twirling cables within a repeating lace diamond motif used throughout the leg. The top of the foot transitions to stockinette stitch for smoothness and to get the most mileage out of the yardage, since the leg is heavily textured. The row gauge is surprisingly tight due to the diagonal elements, so when the sock is stretched on the leg the length is also shortened.

The gauge for Mint Twist is as follows:

8 stitches and 12 rows = 1 inch in stockinette
9 stitches and 14 rows = 1 inch in pattern

The pattern includes charted directions.
