Sizes: Head circumference of 20-21”/51-53 cm (21-23”/53-58 cm)
Yarn: 157(200) yds/144(183) m of DK weight yarn. Small shown using Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio DK (275 yds/251 m per 100g skein), 100% Merino. Color: Anacostia, 1 skein. Large shown using Kismet Fiber Works Abundant (230 yds/210 m per 100g skein), 80% merino, 10% nylon, 10% cashmere. Color: Spiced Paprika, 1 skein.
Needles: US#4/3.5 mm (US#5/3.75 mm) and US#6/4.0 mm 16”/40 cm circular needle & a set of US#6/4.0 mm DPNs, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 22(20) sts/26 rnds = 4”/10 cm in pattern after blocking using smaller needle. Gauge is critical for this project, and will affect the finished size and yardage.
Notions: 4 stitch markers, one in a different color to indicate the beginning of the round, and a tapestry needle.
