Pattern calls for 2 balls of aqua (MC) and 1 ball each of red, light brown, yellow, gold, blue, and dark green.

Thick cotton yarn is worked in mitered garter-stitch squares that build one upon the other in Katy Ryan’s colorful rug. The yarn is doubled for a gauge of just over three stitches per inch, making this a surprisingly quick way to add a little color and comfort to a room. (Interweave)
