This pattern relies on the “bounciness” of the wool ribbon, Tagliatelli. In a drapier yarn, it will hang very differently on your shoulders. If you absolutely have to make it in a different yarn, at least make sure it’s a wide-ish ribbon :)

You use one skein of the Tagliatelli and most of one skein of the La Luz. Suitable replacements for the La Luz are any silk yarns in that weight; Alchemy Silk Purse, Colinette Tao, Tilli Tomas Pure and Simple, etc.
